This is the one of the few enclosures with PCIe4 based chipset and 40Gbps speeds that exists on the market right now.
Even PCIe3 enclosures with reasonable thermal management with lower speeds are more expensive than this (>$100)
For me a 10GBit/s NVMe SSD enclosure is good enough.

I tested this with TB3 and TB4 port laptops. It is very slow at 2700/ 1800MB/s reads/writes compared to Acasis TBU405 which did it at 2700/2700 at much cooler temperatures on all types of thundebolt ports

Now if only I had my own MacBook Pro to support the speeds this enclosure could put out I would fit a Samsung evo drive in it
