Looks like T-Mobile is offering a hidden $10 hotspot plan ($15 before Auto pay). This is for consumer and business accounts. It's for BYOD hotspot devices only and connected laptops (so no phones or tablets). Looks like you will have to contact T-Mobile to get this. There will be a $35 activation fee as well. See the attached flyer and link for more info.

Hello, here are a few more images (attached) and some info regarding the consumer version of this plan.
The SOC code for the plan is MI30TI for taxes included plans (most people) and MI30TE for taxes excluded (those on plans like simple choice that don't include taxes).
I was personally able to sign up for this plan on a new account earlier today via T-Force on twitter (@tmobilehelp). I simply asked for the "Basic Mobile Internet 30GB Plan". I also had a spare SIM card laying around that they were able to activate immediately, and they kindly waived the activation fee (called "DCC" or "Device Connection Charge"). YMMV on if they're able to waive that fee though.
Also, if you ever did the T-Mobile "free trial" that came with the free hotspot to use, that device will technically work for this plan, but you won't have 5G since it's an LTE modem.

I had a question of how to activate this SIM without a hot-spot if it was to be used on a phone - Found this reddit thread as an answer - https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/...&context=3
Since you cannot use this plan with a tablet (or maybe you can, as I see the words "connected laptops" in the text of the promo) that has a sim.......what are the types of hotspots that would work? I am not familiar with that category of devices. What do I search for?
I would of course like to use an older model of iPhone like an 11 or 12 that allows hot spotting and uses a physical sim. But from reading the rules it looks like you cannot do that.
I can use my $10 unlimited Hotspot sim in any device, including phones. Just doesn't get voice calling
I have a T-Mobile Galaxy tablet on an unlimited data plan (but only allows 10Gb of hotspotting per month) and can move that sim to an iPhone which as huge points out does everything except voice. So I wonder if this plan will provide a Physical sim that does the same thing and could be actually used in a phone?

$50x12 = $600/year
