Make sure to choose the pack of two. Its the same price as the pack of one. Mistake? Maybe...

One of the reviews mentioned that the inside rusted within a few weeks, preventing them from turning the key and thus rendering the lock useless. This is something to consider not necessarily just for this particular lock, but for any key lock in general, as I wouldn't have thought about it.
So how much to spend on a $411 Rattan e-bike that may not arrive?
They have a "free" key replacement offer. Regardless, people crapping on this deal because the lock isn't secure enough .. please enlighten us all as to what bike lock will provide any security to any thief willing to open it in public. If it's anywhere near this price, I'll buy the entire company that makes it.

It's OK, you have two and they are cheap so just hammer the lock off as needed

Thanks. It's a trash lock .. like virtually all locks of this type .. but it's perfect for preventing "thefts of opportunity" .. and exactly what I needed. I happened to have $3. Walmart cash-back from some previous offer, and with W+ I got the 2-pack for 3 bucks shipped.

General rule is your lock should be about 1/10th the cost of your bike.
Obviously you can find better deals,
but in general you wouldn't want to lock your $1000 bike with $5 lock or spend $70 on a lock for a $200 bike.

Technically these locks are $15 each at full price

Yeah, IMO all locks are basically just a mild deterrent. I intentionally don't buy expensive bikes.

I'd love to know what abandoned pre-school is teaching this "general rule" before I spend 10% of my bike's value on a lock. What proof is there that security increases, and thefts decrease, in some scale of dollars of bike vs dollars lock ratio?

Yeah, you should get a $600 lock to protect it
