I found a stack of Ridgid 18V Brushless 7-1/4" Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw (Tool Only) for $279 at Home Depot {store #0723}. They are also on sale online for $299

I have this saw it's okay but after a year and a half it started to fall apart. 7 1-4 on a slider is great for 95% of things, 2x6 is the max, but it doesn't have the power or the bigger saws.
7 1/4 is kino for those that know what they're doing. I have the Milwaukee version and it's sooo nice compared to hauling around the hulking 12" DeWalt and unrolling the extension cords. Not sure how this rigid model is, but I use my Milwaukee now 95% of the time and the 12" DeWalt collects dust.

Me too (but I have this Ridgid). I jokingly refer to my big ol' DeWalt DWS780 as a dust collector since I rarely use it in the shop and it never makes it into the truck. For the things that I actually need to miter the capacity of the 7-1/4" is sufficient, it has much less slop, and is so easy to move around.

What's falling apart? You could use the LSA I assume.

I want a 7 1/4 saw for trim work. The blades are around half the price and it's nice to use a new sharp blade. I have a 10 in saw at the moment.
