Referral codes usually work for these phone+service deals (they don't work on phone only) so don't forget to use one to get $15 credit toward renewal.
If you know someone with mint (or have it yourself) use the referral link AND put in the phone number of the associated Mint line when it asks, more likely to go through that way.
In fact unless the loophole has been fixed, you can get cash back and mint credit by using CB site link + putting in a mint phone number during sign up..

Based on the page they don't unlock until after the 12mo. After factoring in the service it seems pretty reasonable for overall cost.
I've been contemplating switching to US Mobile but this might get me to used Mint for at least a year. Wish they offered competitive trade in options.
Exactly, and if you are already on Mint and your SIM plan is running out I recommend porting out to Tello ($5) and then back to Mint to get the 6 month bonus. I did the same for the P7P deal and it was a quick and easy process.

That's a great idea, haha. How is Mint's app and website for tracking data usage vs Tello? I like that Tello lets you re-up a plan if you run out of data, instead of paying exorbitant extra data fees.

Tracking data in Mint app is easy, the data widget is on the home page and there are no overages. Once you hit your cap, then you are throttled but you can buy additional 5G for the month (1GB $10, 3GB $20)

This is a better deal with Pixel 8.

I mean, that's pretty clear from the terms of the promo. Did you misunderstand or were you simply not paying attention?
They unlocked mine after the service was activated, in any case.

How many other carriers has such awful unlock requirements nowadays?
