They are pretty much nature's candy. They got some vitamins and fiber, but it's about the most sugary of any natural plant I've ever tried. When I was living in one of Sadam Husein's palaces, some of the Indian guys working there showed me how to get the dates. They tasted exactly like a "fruit caramel" in a box of chocolates. The Medjools are awesome too and bigger, but they are more sweet and less caramel flavored than whatever Sadam's dates were.

I mean in that case I get it, but I'm talking the people I know that eat every and any sugary substance produced in a factory without a thought but find the idea of dates unappealing.

These dates for some reason taste fresher, are softer, and more plump than any other brands I've tried from different supermarkets and Costco. They are just like candy, but with fiber and actual nutrients!
