The refurb Latitude 7410 was on sale last week for 50% off. I picked up the 2-in-1 version for $275 with 10th gen i7 processor, 256gb ssd, and 16gb ram, Grade A. Excellent machine so far. If I it didn't have the refurb sticker on the bottom you would swear it was brand new. I'm sure the processor isn't as good as the new new i7 but for what I use it for (household stuff, light business stuff, web surfing), it is more than adequate.

This is my second refurb Dell Latitude. My first was an E7250 purchased in 2015. It still works and if it wasn't for the screen being terrible on that model (720p and not bright at all), I would still use it today. That model did run hot and the fan was loud ... which was an annoyance but nothing I minded too much.

If you want a solid laptop without breaking the bank then an off-lease/refurbished Latitude is a good investment, IMO. They last much longer than any consumer grade laptop I've ever used.
Depends

This Inspiron is a 13" model so it's more compact
And as you said, Latitudes are built better. Essentially designed to also be used as desktop replacements and sit on 24/7/365 for years.

I am looking for a Latitude but I think I need to strike this one off my list b/c RAM is soldered. I missed the i7 deals in the last Latitude coupon promo. They were even cheaper than this, but ram came with 32GB and 1TB SSD, so no upgrading was even needed. and better i7. I would probably still buy a new $45 battery, open up the bottom plate, clean everything, install new battery, and then set Dell Power Management to limit charge to 80%.
I hope they get more back in stock

Between buying a newer low end i3 or i5 Inspiron, or a refurbished i7 w 16GB memory, I'd go w the refurbished.

My entry level Inspiron was slightly more than a refurbished i7, but it runs loud, and the barrel plug adapter sucks because I have to lug a dedicated charger whenever I have to take it somewhere. The Latitude 7210s and 7390s I bought for sub $300 worked better and had USB C charging. That feature alone made me dump the Inspiron at home.

I will mention that it can be hit and miss with Dell Refurbished, Cosmetic Grade A can actually be B or WORSE (one unit had scratches and chips). I've ordered 6 different times, and 3 of the orders were as advertised, no scratches or damage. The other 3 orders required either replacements or just a return of the product after the 2nd attempt (battery couldn't charge past 60%-70%).

So it can be a YMMV. I still would give them a shot, just be critical with what they send you.

You can get a new Inspiron 15 for as low as $260 right now.

I understand Latitude is better build, but is it that much better to spend more for used?

How do you get it for $260? It showed $320 for base unit.

When was this last deal? I don't think I've ever seen i7 with 32GB RAM on sale...

They had a bunch earlier this week. Mine just delivered, couple scratches on the bottom of the case but the keyboard screen area is like new.

Great deal. I'm keeping my eyes peeled to see if I can snag an i7 32GB for around $200.

I see these discount codes(Dell Refurbished ones) never work for me. Anyone else also has this issue?

Looks like the sale ended.
It was $260 before with a sale discount, but I see $320 now too.

If the battery is degraded just call them and they will send a brand new one. They won't even ask for the health percentage.

Really? They don't require a screen shot of anything?

I didn't have to send them anything. I just told them that there is 75% health left.

Ba careful I received mine already it doesnt have a thunderbolt port (even though pictured) TB are options on 5 and 7 series 10th gen and the Dell site doesn't tell you which one. So I will be returning as I need the TB port for my docking station. Uggh. Other than that it is a nice machine for the $220 I paid -- it is not fast at all though. So its for light office/surfing only.
