I made mistake opening this as 2nd line with the Moto which line is now suspended due to non-paying making the whole account suspended. Not sure if they will let me exchange. I'm going to try some of the tips to see if they improves the battery.
Yes. According to a store, they do a mandatory $28 activation fee. It'll total to about 150. It still isn't a bad deal for the phone and 1 month ($60 plan, $65 for first month) of service.
They now have the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE for $49.99 when you port in a number. It's only available in-store. So you'd get the phone+month of service for about $150 out the door.
Go to the store to do your deal then come back and let us know if your scalp remained intact.
I wish this was a scalp... Jokes aside, I'm in need of a new phone. That being said, I've spoken to both a customer service rep over the phone and went in-store. In-store, I've been told that the activation fee cannot be avoided in-store. Taxes and activation would bring everything around 150. Will update if I go through with this deal.

You might get lucky and have a decent local Metro store. But overall, dealing with salespeople at Metro stores is an unpleasant experience, mine included. I went to my local Metro stores about 2 years ago to inquire on a deal, and their salespeople were acting like a bunch of sleazy, hungry car salespeople with bait-and-switch tactics. I got out of there in a hurry.
Anyone get more than 3 phones? I got 3x iphone 12s and happened to resell one of them. Tempted to get a 4th... the samsung tablet isnt available online anymore and I only have 11 days left on my plan. I dont intent to pay another $100 for another month of service.
Some forum members got more than 3 phones, but for this round Metro stopped me cold at 3 total (one i12 and two i11's) in two accounts.
Thanks for responding. When you say you were stopped does it let you go to checkout and then fail or doesn't it not even let you add a line and device?
I'm able to add a line and another iPhone 12 for $99. Then reaches the port info section. I thought I'll check around before I spend $3 on another port nunber.

With each of my two accounts, it let me Add-A-Line, went through checking and reserving the port-in number, entered cc, then failed after submitting, got the dreaded Contact Us to complete your order. I tried 8-9 times over 4 days, using different browsers, Incognito Mode, even tried from my phones using Data (in case they block my WiFi IP) but no luck. I think they blacklisted my street address.
"Something went wrong" every time I try to get a GV number so it looks like I cant go that route. Whats the next best way to get a number to port? Number barn?

I bought from Metro before.
CSR can not access my a/c without me able to receive text message - catch 22!
Went to the store:
He called in for dealer access.
My ID was verified
He went into my a/c
Configured my phone.
Downloaded eSim.
Done! Paid nothing.
He said activate it online - so there is no fee. I activated by following Metro email, entering order ID, name and zip.

This post describes my friend's experience when he went to a local Metro store in AZ to buy his S23FE. He did pay under $150 for it, but it was not a good experience.
