No, it is not. Chromebooks with 10th Gen Intel CPU do not meet the requirements for Chromebook Plus.

Very normal, especially for models built around Core-series CPUs aka performance/P-cores.

As a note for those interested in switching a performance flag on this device, the Hyperthreading functionality will be turned off for security reasons [chromium.org] but can be enabled easily [google.com].

Depends on what you're looking for. I wanted a replacement for my lightweight 12.3" Samsung Chrombook Plus (XE513C24-K01US) [samsung.com], so I thought the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 would be more suitable to my needs. However, it's bigger at 13.3", a half pound heavier at 2.7 lbs, and standard FHD instead of taller 3:2 aspect rato which I've come to prefer. Although the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i features a WUXGA display, it is even larger and heavier than the Galaxy Chromebook 2 which did not suit my needs despite its better hardware specs. Also, I was able to pick the Galaxy Chromebook 2 up in open-box excellent condition for $172 which sealed the deal for me. (The Lenovo is also available in open-pox excellent condition for $268).

I totally get what you're saying, but imo a lot of is design choices are kinda contradictory. Thin, light, bright screen should mean portable, where you're not tied down to your home or an outlet. At home you could be watching movies but only at your desk because it runs so hot, there's no watching movies on the couch or bed. I did love it when I was working at home or in a coffee shop and the touchpad was working though. The best chromebook touchpad I've tried to date.

Yeah there were no open box in the Samsung and tbh I don't need the lightweight of it , I went for the Lenovo for cheaper with better hardware , it's going to be a bed Chromebook to do lil bit of work , thanks I've had good success with Lenovo products they seem to built great

I still have that same Chromebook Plus myself. I really have been wanting to get a new chromebook but prices are kinda crazy to where I wonder why I don't just get a windows based laptop.

I got the Lenovo came cracked and got luckythey had a open box Samsung for the 171 price so I got that one I like red lol
