Conversion to natural gas takes more than an adapter, usually requiring a replacement of the whole manifold and Webber won't sell you the part without the serial number for one originally built as a natural gas grill.

I went through this with my Genesis grill and had to buy one on eBay.
Someone that wants a grill that lasts more than a couple seasons in a harsh climate.

Or someone that wants an awesome steak cooked on a heavy cast iron grate.

If you're lucky enough to have free assembly offered, jump on it.

I bought a Spirit a few years ago after my 25 year old Weber finally bit the dust. The guy who delivered it and put it together told me he does 2-3 of these Webers every day and it still took him an hour plus even though he could do it blindfolded. A diy-er should anticipate at least 2 but maybe 4 hours. My guy did a great job - the unit is still like new and I use it all the time.

I got this with nstural gas and the "sewr station". It s a good grill. I had to replace the burners and flavorizers last year, and it was costly.

Sorry but, I just don't see $550 worth of nothing pictured here, let alone $850 list! About $100 per burner is where it should be, IF and only IF, the thing really is made of 100% stainless steel inside and out! I'll be sticking with my 22" kettle grill thank you very much. That was only $118 when I got it and turns out far superior food compared to anything gas powered. Just some food for thought.

Yes. So many comments in this thread talking about the Weber of yesteryear, not this garbage. The new Webers rust out like the rest of the grills produced now. Better off with a used Weber made 25 years ago. These won't last 10 years.
Don't totally count out these "made in China" (what isn't these days) Webers. Sure, not as bulletproof as the old ones. But even heating, you can get parts and they last if you take care of them. I have a 2015 Spirit 3 burner using this same design that's in perfect shape. For these with a solid bottom and cabinet under the firebox it's important to keep them covered. Otherwise rain can get in the gap and vents on the back side, sit in there and contribute to rust forming.

I have the S-310, which I purchased about 6 years ago. It has actually lasted quite well given that for many years we left it out in an area where it was exposed to inclement weather. The biggest issue has been rust with the exterior of the BBQ, which I should have been able to avoid with proper handling.

I picked one up (Los Angeles County), mainly because of the free assembly. Hoping this one lasts me more than 6.

That's the issue though. They charge a 300 percent premium for something that might be 20 percent better than the worst grill out there.

The old Webers didn't need to be babied and the new ones shouldn't either. The product should be commensurate with the price, and it isn't the case with any of the new Weber products.

If anyone is getting this, I picked up the stainless steel grate set #7586 on ebay for around $40 for my recent CL find. It's 100% genuine and fleabay is flooded with the things cuz they were on clearance at lowes a couple years back.

The middle insert also fits a lodge 12 inch CI skillet nicely

Stainless steel is not as good as the enameled cast iron grates that come with this.

Some costcos. This is a key point. The ones in my area only have the spirit version, which is cheaper, but doesn't include shipping and assembly.

They are not 100% stainless and certainly aren't worth the price they sell for. I bought a two burner spirit about 10 years ago and within a year or so of light use and being kept under the $50 Weber cover it started to rust pretty badly. Not the firebox but the frame underneath. Warranty was useless. I don't quite remember the details, but they had all kinds of excuses why they wouldn't fix it. I still have the grill and it still works, but it's about to collapse. The drip tray and brackets under the fire box are long gone. Over the years I have replaced the flavorizer bars a few times because they rusted away under the enamel (which mostly chipped off). I have also replaced the cast iron grid with a stainless set from Amazon because the rusted cast iron started to leave chunks on my steals (gotta watch out with the replacements as most on Amazon are not real stainless and not solid and rust quickly - I found a set that was solid and held up). The igniter went out after a couple of years and I switched to using a long lighter. The burners are badly rusted and I'm waiting for them to fail every time I use the grill. The grill has actually lasted longer than I thought after it started to rust so early on but I was pretty disappointed in their quality. I picked up a nicer looking older model 3 burner from the side of the road a few years back that I will start using once this one falls down. It only needed a new burner assembly and has no rust.

This is not a hot deal. It's lukewarm at best if you're desperate for a grill.

My Genesis II is on year 10. I bragged how it still looked brand new and how glad I purchased it

. But then all of a sudden the bottom sheet metal that is basically the structure, disintegrated in one season. It's going to collapse any day now. To replace Weber wants $160 for just a peice of sheetmetal. Not happy.
