I have one spl-150 and I was planning on adding another. Is it acceptable to add this rp-1400 to the spl-150 or should I just order two and sell the spl-150?
No. Sealed subs are less efficient, so you may get a fraction of the SPL of a comparable wattage and driver ported sub. Only positive is they are typically smaller, if space is a priority.

I disagree it also gives you better articulate/accurate sound performance.
Not everyone considers rearrange your organs, breaking glass/foundation, etc as good performance.
The smaller footprint gives more versatile placement also.
Placement is crucial for optimal performance, true for any sub.
Well implemented sealed subs can offer very good HT performance.
My two SB3000 are regularly mistaken as ported subs!

But if those SB3000 were PB3000, they would FEEL orders of magnitude more powerful without sacrificing accuracy.

From personal experience I disagree.
I wasn't able to place those pb's in the same more optimal placement.
I easily get the sealed performance of those pb's, with a much smaller footprint and performance is actually better because of placement.
That optimal placement is critical with performance imo.
As I mentioned I regularly get people thinking I have PBs!
If my preference/expectation was to rearrange my organs, breaking glass/foundation, etc.
I agree with everyone on here, I would just get one of these, maybe even two!
Would be a heck of a lot cheaper also!
A lot of love for this but some folks may want to look at the Monolith THX 12's as an alternative. Also 500RMS and it hits like it's a size class up. Incredible HDF cabinet and driver that, combined, weight 30lb more than the RP-1400. Traditional ports give you an option to run sealed. Can be found for $650-675 on sale. The Mono's are huge but slightly smaller overall and narrower/taller than these.
They're 1100 right now. No comparison. Weight doesn't matter. Volume matters. The Klipsch will annihilate the Monolith for much less money.

Any opinion on the rythmik subs in comparison to REL Acoustics S/510 or S/812? I'm also a longtime audiophile and am afraid I would be disappointed with the Klipsch. I'll be pairing this primarily with ATC SCM19 bookshelf speakers for music only in a smallish room.
No reason to waste money on REL. None at all. Those you listed are pewees in comparison. The Klipsch will go better with your ATC then any REL for twice the money. The only issue is that it takes a bigger sub to make bigger sound. Worth the tradeoff.

WOW, didn't think about that. Guess i'll stick with my oldies Yamaha YST1500 and AR 115PS. My anatomy has stayed put for the last 15 years with them.
They were joking. This is a much better sub than what you have, but that Yamaha is probably enough for you.

Is that paint or vinyl wrap
They're painted. Not the nicest finish. Not the worst.
it's different and much better in one way: you can optimize the subwoofer placement with it, which can make a huge difference... i'd call it mandatory:

They will rearrange your organs, proceed with caution ⚠️
Side note - the spl-150 sounds fantastic
Order 2 and sell the 150. Done and done.

Is this considered an elective surgery? Guess I'll find out soon enough 😁

Those are nice subs with good out put. What you're missing out on is infrasonics.. This klipsch will destroy them under 20hz in output

Nice! I guess having matching subs is not so important as is having matching speakers.
how does the 1400 compare to the PB2000? I have a PB12-NSD.
