I also use Lutron dimmers in light switch boxes where I don't have neutrals, again easier than pulling fresh 3 wire NM-B cable.
Finally I use their fan switches on 6 of the 7 paddle fans in my house, which offer 4 levels of speed control versus the 3 speeds the fans came with.
Additionally, I believe Lutron is the only option available if you want smart 4 way (lights controlled by 3 or more switches) dimming.
I use Lutrons where I need them, but for the rest of my switching, I use TP-Link Kasas, including on/offs, dimmers, 3 way dimmers, and 3 way on/offs (actually I have the 3 way on/offs working with 4 way switching).
The Lutrons and the Kasas are great products IMO - I can't justify the additional cost of the Lutrons though for situations where I have neutral wires. Lutron DOES have a far better "away" mode in their app than TP-Link does, IMO. The Lutron "Smart Away" scene will quickly allow you to specify the time period and switches to include in the scene, while the Kasa (or Tapo) app requires "away" mode time to be specified for each individual switch, which gets tedious (unless I'm missing something or someone knows of a better way to do that).

Gotcha! Thank you for the clarification.

Lutron's smart switches costs more because they are the most reliable on the market. I've tried 3 or 4 other brands over the last 10 years. They all suck. I wish I'd just paid for the Caseta switches up front. I'd have saved so much time and money.

Lutron switches don't require a neutral wire which I think they have some sort of patent on so they upcharge bc they can. All Kasa switches require a neutral so if you have an older house it won't work unless you put in neutral wiring

If you are new users, the starter kits are much better.
