My first gen just started buzzing on right earbud but like you said if the AirPod pro 3 come out soon is it worth waiting ๐ฉ. They're pretty annoying and can be unbearing at times but I don't want to lose value if these will get even cheaper very soon or new ones release.
The newer ones are absolutely better than the first gen ones (which I was also fond of). Better sound and noticeably better noise cancellation in my experience. I also think the size-large silicone ear thingies stay in better now, but the overall shape isn't too different.
Apple has a service program to fix those for free. I got mine replaced for free. Take a look.

Do they require like receipt of purchase? I purchased from Amazon refurb a long time ago and don't think I'll be able to find it through many many orders. Also, it's been like 3 years. Will they still fix it?
AirPod Pro won't be here til fall of 2025. I have the first Pros. Leaning towards giving them to my spouse and buying the second. Probably gonna bite at this price or wait a little bit to it's $190 again at Costco (with AppleCare).
