Seems like these may be post-recall repaired units? Now who knows if they continued to use the plastic camshaft on the fix, but I guess we'll see what happens after a few of us get one delivered.

Yes, was repaired over the winter. Cut the front yard about 1 month ago then the whole yard last week & it's bent now. Bringing it back to the shop.

So it's not starting then I take it.

Sheesh. Now I have to reconsider if I keep this thing.

I kind of thought that after they did the recall the issue would've been put to rest.

It starts just fine. The problem is the blade is hitting the side of mower & makes a loud noise. I'm taking it in for service. Will let you know the cost of repair. Might be covered by the warranty?

So it's the cam shaft or crank shaft? Seems bad either way if you didn't hit anything.

FedEx is showing 45x26x20 in as the dimensions of the package with a shipping weight of 138lbs.

Just pickup my order at Home Depot and did the check per this website and can confirm my HRX217VYA has the green circle sticker and a punch next to engine serial number. This means it's fixed. The box appears to be retaped.

I was considering an Ego mower that was on sale at Lowe's, but here in the PNW I just didn't trust the ego could handle the wet grass, though I do have some of their other tools.
