thank you for your useless insights. i'm sure it's a great drill for hanging up picture frames in drywall, but no one cares. DCD800/805 will pay back its' cost in a day or two just from the time it saves for a professional user.

I got the Dewalt drill tool, 2 batteries and a bag for under 100 OUT THE DOOR at Lowes.

I'd still prefer at least 10gb. These things really chew through data storage.
It was offered a while back. I also got it with the 5GB battery.
Please note that the way they have achieved the half inch in saving from the DCD991P2 is by not having the support for the 360 degree side handle.
In the last ten years of using the Dewalt 18v drill driver at home I never had to use the side handle or didn't care for it as much.
The weight of the 18v drill always bothered me. Seems like the DCD800 is about 2.81lbs whereas the DCD991P2 is about 4.4lb.
This is also 2 speed transmission vs 3 speed on the DCD991. Again I don't think I ever selected the speed too much. Probably kept it at 3.
This would be the drill for you if you don't care much about the 360 degree side handle and want a lighter weight drill.

Just checked amazon, its 149.99. Same one I bought mine for 99.99 with the two batteries and a bag.
I love how slickerdeals just jump on anything that remotely looks like a deal when its not. Wait for a few months until real drill deals come thru
