yes, this is an authorized dealer. i know someone will ask because a lot of people here don't know how to "google".
with that out of the way, the tool alone typically costs around $160 from unauthorized amazon/fleabay sellers. $250 in store. it's $270 at HD right now. it was around $120 during black friday using "the hack".
however, the batteries and charger are what makes this a good deal. these batteries typically go for $120 when on sale
from an authorized dealer. the charger is typically $60ish when on sale. that means the sale price on the batteries and charger alone is around $300. with that in mind, this means the tool comes out close to free
there is $10 off promo code for new customers (newcustomer10). if you were a customer before, you can use the code again by checking out with a different e-mail address, but the same billing info. that would bring the price down to $319
this seller doesn't charge sales tax in SOME states. i bought this from NY and wasn't charged sales tax. PA doesn't appear to be taxed either. good luck

You want to buy a 110V corded grinder. Any brand. Those are available at any box store dirt cheap. You'll have to figure out what you want for sanding abrasives, cutting abrasives or steel cutting blades for what you need it.
Think of it as stepping into the Dewalt world. Tool as stated basically free and 2 9ah will last a good time on other Dewalt tools you can get using the HD hack to make others tools cheap knowing you have great batteries.
I have plenty of batteries so selling these to net me the tool nearly free was a no brainer.

I bought a corded grinder from harbor freight for $20 20 years ago. I've used it a decent amount, but far from a lot. I let waiting for it to break but it doesn't. Adjust that price for inflation and that's what you should do.
I'm only here because I'm in the DeWalt ecosystem and I'd love the convenience of a cordless grinder when I do need it. Even then this is a lot for me. I would do well with their cheaper models just fine.
All that said I have the 20v xr brushless when I don't want to hunt for an outlet and it's great so I imagine the 60v is probably insane overkill
So no, the tool does not come out to $100
There is also a pretty nice tool bag included. Whether or not you think that's worth anything is up to you.
