DO NOT BUY....These leave a terrible black fuzz on your toes and sole. No matter how much you wash the socks they always leave black fuzz. The only way to avoid it is if you flip them inside out. I bought these at walmart few months ago and this is what they do.
After a few months the socks get holes because of the black fuzz rubbing off for so long. I don't recommend these socks at all.

My favorite socks. A pack of 6 last more than a year with everyday wearing. I cannot stand thin dress socks. So I wear the black sports socks for business casual all the time. Not hot for summer, great for spring and fall. Wool socks for winter though.

They used to be my favorite but I recently bought a set on the previous post and they are garbage. Thin and they shed. They feel like half the thickness of the old, washed-a-thousand-times socks. Ive since ventured into the smartwool and darn tough group… though, I wish there was a high quality cotton sock at the golden toe price point—they were my go-to. Doesn't seem to exist anymore. People also usually like the wool-blend, weatherproof brand socks from costco when they go on sale. My feet are too big though. :-(.

I can attest to this as well. Last bunch I got a couple years ago were a lot worse than the bunch I got a year or two before that.

And just so I know for sure, are the Costco socks Weatherproof Vintage?

Gold Toe ProSport socks have been my go to everyday socks for a while. Great cushion, great fit, very durable. The socks in this post don't appear to be nearly on par with the ProSport line.

I haven't had the same shedding issue everyone else here has had. 100% it happens on the first two wears but it goes away. Still my favorite black socks for the office.

Last time I bought socks posted as a "slickdeal" the elastic turned to garbage within weeks. Very wary of this site being used to shill factory reject batches at pur expense. I know, each deal is different but I'm not getting fooled again.

Yep. Same experience. Bought on the last deal and they're all breaking. That's not happening with my even older gold toe socks that are many years old.

this is 1000% true, even after washing but to be fair I've only washed 2-3 times.
