2014 and it has developed some rust areas around the ash pan so I was looking to replace it this year. It is a great grill without going the ceramic egg type and cost. Interested to see how the updated features perform. Thanks for posting
Once functional, I think it's a tremendous value if you're into smoking meat. It will run 200-220 degrees for many hours on a small load of coals without any supervision and fully autonomously.
If you're strictly into grilling at high heat, you may say a few bucks and get a non-electronic version of the same grill instead.
I use grape seed oil to condition mine after use and have bought a few accessories for it (ceramic stone & searing half circle pan)
One other thing of note is sometimes the electronic temp control on it throws an error code randomly but simply unplugging it and plugging it back in has always fixed it.
I bought an adapter so I can plug it into my Milwaukee 12v batteries.

This is basically a budget ceramic grill and those cost $800+ for comparable size.

Made in China my friend. Short term excitement over long term use. Do your own research - that's all. Ceramic grills have their perks, but for the basic cooks you can acquire a grill that won't rust and fail after a few seasons.
