Note: While this will now be the standard T-Mobile Connect plan at this price tier, due to overwhelmingly positive feedback and high interest from the community in the new upgrade from 3.5GB to 5GB of data monthly (previously announced as a jump to only 4GB), we have promoted this offer to the Frontpage for light data/mostly-WiFi users to consider.

Notice my $15 plan up from 3.5GB to 5.0GB this March. ( it was supposed to be extra 500MB a year til 2025 ) Other than that, same old Global Wifi-calling, ESIM support, unlimited voice/msg.. nothing more......

If you dont feel like paying big chunk at once, this is not a bad deal. Plus, you can change plan on the fly ( such I go down to $10 before I travel oversea or switch to $25 plan for my summer outdoor activities - all via website without talking to CSR )

$30/month 100minutes 5GB is terrible.
"without talking to CSR"

Golden comment the idiot MBAs working at all these corporate headquarters haven't figured out the importance yet.
It's a hard cap. But you can easily top it up, if needed. For example, top up by $5 gives you an additional 2GB.
I have been on T-Mobile connect for the last 1 year and it has been great for me.

I use Google voice over data and even then I only talk about 10 minutes of that. Since I use wifi mostly I just need 1gb of data, and no minutes and no text. What is cheapest plan for me?
US Mobile Lite plan for $72 for a year that works out to $6 a month is the cheapest 1gb option I could find. But I was looking for unlimited talk and text with any amount of data.

They also have a Custom Plan option I found while signing up with them. They don't seem to advertise it anywhere.

I think the cheapest option was $3 but I don't remember if that was just data or just calling or what. Again I was looking for unlimited talk and text with some data. I only remember it would have been more expensive than the $6 with ANY data. It would be worth looking into for your needs though.

Also look into Tello. They have custom plans with low or no minutes too. Their prices don't include tax like US Mobile does though. Actually idk if US Mobile "custom" plan includes taxes or not.

The $15 US Mobile plan I see is only $15 if you prepay a YEAR, $180.
Also can get up to a 500 prepaid Mastercard for prepaying for the premium unlimited at 450 a year. No clue as to how much the prepaid Mastercard would be but if it's only 200 that's not a bad deal if you use a ton of data.

I dont understand this, I've been on the $15 Prepaid plan for literally years.... I've had a 5GB limit for atleast 5 years. I know this because I use it... I've set up Data Cap Warnings at 4GB on my phone because of it... I think I may have been hooked up due to some bs I went thru with them possibly? cant remember... its been so long... but yeah.... this was a surprising 'Deal' to read about from my perspective.

I had T-mobile connect last year with the Franklin T-9 mobile hotspot and it was awful. It would constantly lose the connection and many times you would have to wait a half hour to an hour before it could regain the connection. (This was in NYC, where there is nothing wrong with the signal.) There were also certain websites that it just would not be able to reach.

I switched over to US Mobile Warp 5G (Verizon) and have never once had an issue with the service. The US Mobile Shared plan is 2GB for $10 and each additional 2GB is another $2. So the equivalent 5GB would be $16 on US Mobile. ($10 for first 2GB + $2 x 3 = $6 for the additional 3GB.) However, the extra data you purchase carries over from month to month so if you don't use up the full extra 3GB that will carry over to the next month.

I got the $10 connect plan and I get unlimited talk & text and it gives me 1GB of data..You can switch up or down in an instant on the web site w/o talking to anyone.(I parlay that up with an unlimited data line from visible in the same phone for data for $20 a month and that gives me a second line as well..Works great as long as you can do multiple esims

easy to switch up and down plan anytime, but will prepaid or how they prorate the charge?

thinking about to use this prepaid since I used to be out of US many months per year. When I come back and used more data can switch higher plan , when out of US, just down to min to keep the number...

You are correct!

Tmobile Connect use same APN / MMSC access as regular Tmobile prepaid/ Business, such
APN: fast.t-mobile.com
MMSC: mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc

Other MVNO carriers such as Mint / USMobile will be using generic APN name such as "Wholesale" or "PWG" with MMSC that contain words "MVNO" such xxxx.mmsmvno.com/

I'm on US Mobile with T-MOBILE SIM and my lock screen header reads "MVNO CONNECT"

What's wrong with that? Cuz then you get 11 months when your payments are ZERO?

Seems like the $25 plan has increased from 6.5GB to 8GB now. I wonder if this is finally time for me to switch out of my grandfathered $30 100minutes 5GB plan from 10 years ago LMAO

I remember that plan. It was glorious 10 years ago. Only available at Walmart, right? The hidden plan. Lol

Some people don't eat for a month if they prepay a year, especially in this current economy with stagnant wages and ongoing inflation. Will only get worse with the Fed pivot.

Good deal for most people though.

no. Best carriers at the best prices for use in Mx are Cricket with their $5. add on plan, no restrictions and the At&t Mexico network is strong with lots of 5G too. I got 5G in PV, Guadalajara, San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato. Metro is good too as they ride on Telcel. Boost offers Mexico coverage, but I read lots of negatives. YMMV. If going to Baja, Telcel by far has the best coverage, but even then coverage is very limited.
