I was looking for a spare grill cover for another grill and came across this deal for the Big Joe and couldn't resist even though I don't need one yet. I bought one back in 2019 for $85 and the lowest I have seen since has been about $70. I do double cover and I have a cheapy one over it because it's out in the sun year-round. I will keep a spare for $56.

    I need a cover. Have a kj1. Any issue with a slightly larger diameter cover? Kj1 is 18" whereas this cover is for 24"

    The measurements on the BJ : 37.8x37.8x55.1 and the Classic: 34.5x33.5x48.5. You are going to have a very loose fit but be sure to use the buckle to keep it from blown off during windy days. I do double cover with the Kj on the inside and a third party on the outside and apply what I mentioned above without any issues. The only problem I see is the KJ cover may be too tLl and catches the wheel when rolling the grill. I think you will be fine if watch out for that. Hey, $56 for a excellent quality KJ cover is very good on my book. The KJ Kettle and Junior covers are not close in terms of quality to the BJ cover.

    Reviews don't seem great. Seems like I'm better off just getting a cheaper cover and planning on replacing Every few years

    I received the cover and opened to compare with the old cover. The new one feels a little thinner and softer to the touch. I purchased my previous cover in Nov 2019 but I didn't install the grill till April 2020 so it's 4 YO and I didn't throw the extra 3rd party cover (Kamado underneath) on till a year to a year and a half later. The red logo and word Joe is pink rather than red but the white on Kamado is still white so the print color does fade. The black in the cover is still black. I would say I will have many more years of use with the original cover but always good to have a backup.

    I have bought many grill covers over the years but the Kamado BJ cover seems to have the best feel to it. I personally wouldn't pay msrp or close, but this is a good price point compared to the 3rd party range. When a cover fails it's usually at the top where rain will drip through the top vent and cause rust on the cast iron grates. Rust is not a problem if you don't store the cast iron inside but I like to store everything inside the grill whenever its possible.

    It will probably be loose but use the buckle to tighten up and you should be fine. I have the Akorn since 2015 and I go through a cover just about every 3 years and the average cost is $25 and their OEM cover isn't any better. I started to go the double cover route ever since rain water dripped through the top vent and caused rust to the grates. I am sure you will be happy with this purchase and do let us know about the fit.

    Surprised at the reviews. This is the best grill cover I have. Has faded a bit in 5 years, but otherwise not tears, no cracking, has never blown off or leaked.

    That's because your 5 year old cover is a completely different cover all together with the same name printed on it. I have a classic 2 with a 6 or 7 year old cover that still looks great right next to a 6 month old jr cover and it's super faded.

    Glad to know it's a good fit and I can pull it out when needed but I think the 2015 Akorn is on it's last leg. Hopefully there's a deal for the Kamado Joe Classic this year. I have been using the Cuisinart Griddle 360 cover that I pick up back in 2021 for $11.06 each and it's way too big. I use the other one to cover a Hayward DE filter and the pump in the winter which works out well.
