Every time I have to hear how Gen Zers use uber eats every time to spend themselves in an ever increasing hole I get fond memories of surviving college on this and ramen noodles.
Your college and my 40's sound a lot alike. 😬

I recently saw a video on youtube titled : The Original Chef Boyardee Spaghetti Dinner

I didn't know he was a real chef and that this brand has been around so long.

I don't think Chef Boyardee would have approved of whats in the can nowadays.

These kids are not smart, they complain because they want luxury and prestige before they have sweated for it.

I used a metal wire hanger bent into a shape that would hold an iron facing upright and heat cans of this on it. Occasionally put some pop tarts on it. Good times.
You could afford an iron? Spoiled much?

Hate to cut into your attempt to make my comment political but Im a millenial and still have young kids. I thought we had moved past blaming millenials for everything at this pt. Most kids in college atm are products of Gen X btw.
sure, if those college kids are in their 60's. gen x has died a tragic death.

Chef Boiardi has a fascinating life story. After immigrating to the US from Italy as a child, he worked his way up to become head chef at the Plaza Hotel as a teenager. He developed his own Spaghetti recipe and eventually started producing it in cans on a massive scale, and the brand was renamed "Chef Boy-Ar-Dee" since that was easier for most Americans to read and pronounce. His massive can production greatly contributed to the war effort in WW2.

Sadly I'm sure the recipe is completely different now with cheap fillers and watered-down sauce. You're right — he probably wouldn't approve.

Ok for the emergency pantry.

Too bad Hormel Compleats aren't on sale more, those are so much better.

Haha I agree, but source is all parenting. As a conservative Gen Y with a boomer mindset, I'll be instilling enough struggle as part of their education and upbringing to prepare them for the realities of life!

FYI for another post, but Gen y is more financially cautious than the proceeding Gen X as Y was hit right when '08 Great Recession hit where few could find jobs coming out of college. X was hit more with their loans from the banking collapse.
