WaPo Marinara smackdown - https://wapo.st/4bcfCsM

Seems to confirm the existing consensus of go Rao's or go home. Michael's of Brooklyn Marinara Sauce ranks as pretty mid, worse than Barilla.

I can't share the CR article but it also ranks Rao's and Barilla's better than Michaels in the "sensory" rating.

I'm a Paesana low sodium marinara individual. It's really the only jarred sauce I'll touch. I find everything else pretty disgusting, this and Rao's included.

My taste in canned tomato products has...evolved to say the least.

Muir Glen was a thing for me like 15 years ago. I'm on Stanislaus now. Alta Cucina, tomato magic, 7/11, you name it.

A can of San marzano tomatoes, some basil, salt, and olive oil is cheaper, better, and takes just as much time to cook

I think this sauce is decent but raos is better as stated by others.
