Honestly wanted to like these, but I returned them. The sound on them is mediocre at best, and you have to really crank the volume past the safe mark for that. The fit is okay but, if you wear glasses, they will really start to irritate after about an hour or so. I was looking for something primarily for audiobooks (I don't love earbuds or over-ear large headphones) that would be a better option than my Monster Boomerang neck speaker, but these are worse on every front, especially sound.

Yes, they are fantastic!

Just bear in mind: you buy them for versatility, not for sound quality. These are easily the best option out there for open-ear quality. You can fully hear your surroundings while listening to notifications, audiobooks, videos, etc.

I love using them for running. They actually stay in place during runs unlike AirPods, AirPod Pros, Beats In Ear Studio Buds, which tend to pop out of my ear. The sound quality is definitely inferior to those other options, but these Shokz work great for workouts. I also like that I can still hear my surrounding environment (cars, cyclists, etc).

I have three pairs, and wearing them 24x7. However, new pro models with exposed speakers can't be used in the shower\rain. They won't die immediately, but instead the sound becomes horrible once it catches some water in it. I will get OpenRun once they start dying.

They're great for when you want audio but also require situational awareness of sounds around you. I use mine on a daily basis for walking my dogs, jogging, and riding my bike to work. I even use them occasionally in office. The downsides are sound quality isn't as good as traditional headphones (I mainly listen to podcasts/books so it's a non-issue for me) and the microphone can pick up a lot of noise (i.e. I can't talk when riding my bike, but using in office is fine).

I originally had their OpenMove when they were still branded as Aftershokz, and I upgraded to the OpenRun a bit over a year ago. I have had to contact their warranty twice, originally because OpenRun microphone wasn't working well, and they sent me another pair without requesting the original one back (which was great as its speakers still worked fine). I accidentally broke the ear mold on that second pair, and they replaced that one for free too (although I did have to send it back).

Overall good company, I'd highly recommend them for what they do.

My wife and I use these for running and love them. Can listen to audiobooks or music but still have awareness of surroundings and hear ambient sounds. SQ is obviously not as good as regular headphones, but still good. I wear them with glasses with no issues - in fact I ran a marathon in them last weekend with no issues at all.

Just to add to everything above. I use mine for running, cycling, and also snowboarding/skiing and they've been great. Not a single complaint. The best part is you can hear the car or snowcat coming before it runs you over. Any of the other options with better sound quality don't offer that. I guess it depends what you value more...Being alive vs. slightly better sound quality. If you're on the fence and looking for a deal, I think they've been cheaper, but I would gladly pay full price for them based on my experience.

I have an old pair of Shokz Trekz Titanium that I won at a 5k about 5 years ago. The sound isn't anything special, but they're good for when you want some music but need to stay aware of your surroundings. And the things are darn near indestructible.

I wouldn't mind upgrading to an OpenMove or OpenMove Pro just because my Trekz Titanium's are the last gadget I use with any regularity that still has a micro-USB connector. But I can't rationalize the expense until they die.

they are great IF you still need to use your ears and want some background music. manage your expectations. these are great because i do surveying and need to be able to hear around me (leaves crunching, snakes, someone yelling, etc).

great for some background music and some handsfree calling

the battery swelled on mine so they are currently wrapped in electrical tape. wouldn't leave them in your hot texas truck.

the warranty is badass if you have any issues. these are a replacement pair i dont know if they would replace them again.

Has anyone compared the sound quality of these to the Sony LinkBuds, which are also designed to allow in ambient sound?
