I'm leaving my comment here as a warning for others about DJI and their refubished drones. Every time I shared this story/opinion on DJI reddit or Facebook group the bandwagoners come out of the woodworks defending DJI.

I ordered a refurbished Mini 3 Pro last year directly from DJI. I had a trip coming up and I wanted to bring a drone. Shipping took almost a week. Drone arrived, turned it on, and long story short, it was missing a vital internal piece and it didn't work. So I went to send it back to DJI. Because it was a refurbished unit, they said they had to open a case number, I had to send it back, they had to repair/inspect the defunct device, and they were going to send me another refurbished unit. The whole process was going to take 2-3 weeks. I said please, just give me a refund, I can't wait on another refurbished unit. My trip was the next week. I immediately ordered a new one from BestBuy, picked it up, and it worked flawlessly.

They REFUSED to give me a refund. They said they had to resend me a drone. I said, per your own return policy, I should be able to get a refund. They said no we have to ship you back the drone since you opened a case number. I said no, YOU opened the case number and return process when I told you that the drone I bought refurbished didn't work.

So they send me another refurbished drone about 3 weeks after I first purchased. I told them I want a refund. They said ok, here's your shipping label, when we get the drone back we will give you your refund.

2 weeks after they received the drone, still no refund in my Paypal account, no updates on my Case # with this drone. They then tried to say they never received the drone, they had no record of ever receiving the drone, even though I had screenshots and tracking numbers, and thankfully I wrote all that down. I spent hours between the phone and online chat. This went on for a few weeks. This went on so long that the tracking number from UPS actually expired, and thank God I had screenshots of the UPS site showing delivery. Finally they said they did have the drone, my refund would be processed within 60 days.

I finally get a refund 2 months later, and then a week later, DJI re-charged my Paypal account for the same amount as my first purchase. I was furious. That took more hours on chat and phone and talking with Paypal as to how this was even possible.

I think it took close to 6 months for me to finally get my refund.

DJI makes the best drones on the market and I absolutely love flying them. But my GOD I had such a horrible experience. I will never buy a refurbished drone again that I couldn't immediately return to a 3rd party reliable seller like Amazon or Bestbuy.

My IG is @clarkefishing if you want to see some of the content I've captured with the Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Classic
Yes, it doesn't seem normal. But I am telling you this is what happened. I have nothing to hide and nothing to gain by bashing DJI. And I like their drones! I am sharing my story as what happened when I tried to return a defective product within the return window.

What doesn't seem normal is why every time I share this story someone like you has to come out and defend DJI? I'm the consumer and I'm sharing you my awful experience where they held $1,000 of my money hostage for 6 months.
Always go with the remote WITH screen. The connection speed and the experience is better than having to TIE up your phone for drone use. Buy once cry once!

The OP shows the Plus kit has the "Plus" batteries which has higher capacity but takes the drone's total weight to over 250, thus mandating registration to fly in the US even for "Recreation." Keep in mind "Recreation" here means solely for fun, no work of any kind even if no money is involved and apparently even any work for yourself from my reading of info on the FAA site but I welcome clarification/correction on this from anyone with information from the FAA.

The Bestbuy price is lower but there is a mandatory 15% restocking fee for returns of drones in most states, additionally that 15% incurs sales tax in some states. DJI I think doesn't have a mandatory fee on returns but has IMHO a higher risk of running into problems with returns. On the other hand, there's a good chance that DJI is actually shipping new items under this refurb listing mixed in with reburb'd items. If you do receive a refurb, the refurb process with both vendors is hit or miss on thoroughness so be sure to test all parts received thoroughly before the return period expires. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, still trying to decide which model and where to buy it, wish I didn't miss the great deal on the Mini 2 SE last week.
Thanks for the information. I am also considering the Mini 3 from Costco for a more worry free exchange experience if I do run into any issues.

Word of caution - I spoke with a DJI rep who confirmed that the 4 pro refurb is not in stock. Estimated shipping is 30 days out. No real answer when I asked "What happens if you don't get any refurbs in".

I decided to make an offer on verde foot phalanges and grabbed a Pro 4 Fly more combo for $920.

Was your $920 offer accepted? I made for $929 and they gave me counteroffer for $1057 (with no tax charges to CA and free shipping).

How long was your offer window? I made mine 7 days at 888 and got a counter at 959. Also in CA.

I haven't accepted yet since I feel as soon as I re-counter, news of the next Mini will drop.

This is why Costco, BH is the first choice. Amazon second choice. eBay is third choice. You pay for good customer service. Especially for things over $1000.

I gotten Refurbished DJI gimbal and drone without issue for under $300. They make you go through hoops to save on return cost. 2-3 weeks mean they ship returns overseas

That's great! How long is the shipping time? Cause on DJI's site it's about a month.

Is that for the Fly More Plus (with extended batteries?) or the regular Fly More?

Fly More, not fly more plus. I wanted to stay under 250g. So far the combo has been amazing.

According to my order details, Mine is supposedly going to ship on the 24th of this month after placing an order last month on the 26th. We'll see if that happens.

Edit: Mine was actually delivered on the 19th and the box was sealed with shrink wrap. It had red RB (refurbished) sticker on the front of the box as well as on the flap to open up the box. Everything in the actual Fly more bag was sealed in plastic as if it were brand new. Comparing the Mini 4 Pro to my Mini 2. The Mini 2 plastics feels more solid compared to the 4 Pro. I get that they needed to save wieght on the 4 pro, but it just feels cheap. Mine kinda creaks if I gently squeeze the sides of the middle of the drone together. Does anyone elses Mini 4 Pro do that? Or I'm wondering if they forgot to use some glue there. So far I have only flown it around my house to check on the condition of the tiles on my roof and it flew pretty well.

Spoke with DJI, they said orders are being fulfilled in order. But the month delay is estimate for them to get their inventory but state they are sending out. So high chance it gets sent out but on the appropriate date idk? Maybe add another week on?

This deal hasn't expired!!! You have to keep checking the page!!! I went back randomly for a week and finally got one on April 21st, 2024. I missed out on one a few days earlier because I was double-checking options and prices... Good luck!! This page is not going away and for $609 I think it is a deal!!!

just to share an staus update after calling these mf.
my order says estimated to be shipped on 4/25 but just called and found out they actually don't have them in stock when we made the order so technically DJI needs to refurbish the drones then gets it send out to us. now got told new estimate shipping date being push back to May during the 1st or 2nd week...
