Personal tastes are subjective, but that's the general consensus I saw from reading a few dozen reviews of the closed back Sundaras, and having listened to DT770s. I already bought a HiFiman 400se from them for $59 sale over Black Friday, so I'm passing for now, but it's tempting.

The he400se and the massdrop version has been $100 or less for ages now. Planars in this price range aren't really anything new.
