Aliexpress [aliexpress.us] has for
Aliexpress App users: 3-Pack Essager 100W USB Type-C to Type-C Cable w/ LCD Watt Meter built in (1 meter or 2 meters) on sale for
$5.37 ($1.79 each) when you add 3 of them to cart.
Shipping is free.
- This deal only works if it opens in the Aliexpress mobile app. On a desktop browser, the buy button will be greyed out.
- I want to experiment with posting deals from Aliexpress since they often have the lowest prices possible: similar 100W cables with watt displays cost ~$8 at Amazon [amazon.com]
- This item is an Aliexpress Choice product, which means Aliexpress handles the shipment of the product (similar to Fulfilled by Amazon for Amazon). Delivery time for Choice products has been 1-2 weeks in my experience.
- This item is part of their "3 for $1.99" category, which offers good deals on small items like this if you purchase at least three of them. You can mix and match with other items in this category if you don't want three of these cables.
- I have purchased and used this exact cable, see attached photos. It works well

is seller: Shop5370096 allowed to be posted by everyone now? I'm unclear on the AliExpress rules.

Yes you can post Shop5370096
There is no power leeching concern. That miniscule LED takes essentially no power, and it takes less than the power meters you recommend.
Your upside-down orientation concern is a triviality. The screen is oriented such that it will be legible for right-hand use. And -- come on -- do you really have a hard time reading vertical numbers?
PWM flicker is also not a big deal. You don't watch it like a TV. The use is to glance at it to see how your device is charging.
I find it most useful when charging my laptops to see if the power adapters can handle the power. I also paired it with a USB C to barrel connector to use on the laptops that can't charge through USB-C. I can say it is a straight voltage/current measurement, then outputs the power. So it will detect 20V, 9V, 5V, all the way up to 100W. This helped me determine what sized USB power adapters I need for each laptop so I don't have to carry the original brick around. Now I only carry tiny power adapters and these cables with my laptops. I haven't found a situation where the plug tip didn't fit in the device. I will say it's a bit longer than most USB-C ends, but it hasn't bothered me.
Oh, the other thing for the nay-sayers out there, depending on the USB load, USB-C won't even send power out the cable until something is connected. That's part of the USB-C power spec. For example, with my USB power adapters, the cable won't turn on until I plug it into the phone/laptop. So that vapor current is negligible.
This is like any other tool, if you have a use for it, it's cool. If you don't, then you'll say it's useless. For that price, I think it's fun to play with.

Website likely not and they leak/sell you personal info. For the items, I found many Amazon listings are essentially the same with higher price.
Displays wattage from 0 to 100, so when you charge your phone it would jump to 25 or so when charging a laptop go all the way to 65 (I don't have a 100W USB charger). Once the charge is done it would go to 1-5W if the screen is switched on and you are using your phone, once the phone screen is off, the value drops to 0. I'm impressed as this screen essentially comes at 0 cost to the size of the connector.
Too bad there is no angled version available.
