Last I checked, there is no way to transfer your game to another device. Your saved game is stuck to that particular device, period. I personally don't like being forced to use the app to play a game. If you lose your device...game gone. If you need to reset your device...game gone. Upgrading phone...game gone.
Again, it was fun, but be aware of the mandatory app requirements to play. Hope this helps.
So you could use a laptop, or Stream off a PC using the Steam Link app. The system requirements are simply PC that can run Windows, so any computer will do.

We port to a TV via app cast so everyone can see it and designated one person to run the game. It works well.
There are also extension missions in app, plus other standalone expansions to make the game even more exciting.
This is a good deal for the base game! I got mine last year for about $70. Worth it if you like LoTR and coop games like Gloomhaven, Andor, or Pandemic.

Me and my buddies are playing this now, and the app recently had an update to use an Asmo Connect account to allow cloud saves and to be able to use them cross platform.
