You'll have to just try it out for yourself and see if it's good for your situation.
My own experience is that the big brand cables (Fender, D'addario, plus the exotic brands) hold up better at the plugs. I wouldn't pay $80+ for a typical length cable, but $15-$25 is certainly fine with me. The cheapies just haven't taken the wear and tear for me.
