I think this is more of a "don't buy phones in China" thing. As the article says -

"One thing to note here is that the researchers tested the Chinese versions of the Xiaomi, Realme, and OnePlus smartphones, meaning the results do not directly affect smartphone users outside of China."

The reasons I haven't already gotten this is that the camera is supposedly meh and I think the curved edge screens are stupid. It seems like they're just asking to be broken. I wish the trend would go away.

Curved are fine... I've been using them since the Galaxy S8, and probably earlier if I could remember the model.

It says ones in china not here, i am sure that they have to go thru some screening before selling like FDA I hope lol. I don't think us is that vulnerable
