This was my thinking , surprised it is getting downvoted so much.
At 20k even the 100kwh battery seems like a decent deal. Assuming the chances that the cars are bricked by software is pretty low , you are getting a working new vehicle that you can part out when it breaks.
I'd buy it for $7500. If it qualified for federal tax credit.
