Sunlu has the Elegoo Saturn 2, 8K 10" 3D printer (Resin) for $199.99 less $6 using the WETHRIFT coupon. Free shipping and no tax charged for me (in Virginia).

I've been toying with a larger resin printer (I have an OG Anycubic Mono) and while I don't necessarily have a *need* for a bigger printer, it would be nice to have the capacity. This is one generation old but still seems like a good, basic/entry level printer for moderately high resolution models.

Despite having worked in additive manufacturing, I haven't kept an eye on consumer 3d printers. Seems like this is a low for this model, but is it worth it? Other models to check out?

For 10" printers, At the low end, the Saturn 3, Anycubic 5s pro (just released) will give 12k or 14k resolution and some additional features like (limited) resin heating, easier leveling, WiFi. I don't think they have automatic resin feeding at that size. Street prices are in the $450 range. Next up is Phrozen Sonic Revo (14k) with higher end features and quality and I think they are $1k.

Bigger consumer printers with 13" screens are $600 low end and $1500-2000 mid range. They are generally only 8k but add things like auto resin replenishing. Most are 2-3 years old at this point.

One thing I would consider is avoiding machines that come with a board made by Chitu, which Im fairly certain all Elegoo models do. It might not be a huge deal if you're a casual user, but Chitu has repeatedly tried to lock people into user their slicing software (Chitubox,) and then crippling the free version of that software unless you pay for a subscription. Anycubic has started having their own boards made to get away from Chitu and avoid these issues. There's a number of videos on YouTube that going into better detail if you're curious, but it's worth thinking about.
