I have to do the same thing. I'm just gonna return the one I got for 849. I tried to go through chat for an adjustment and it's a disaster talking with them.
Had I not gotten a ridiculously amazing deal on the refurb and rear pair, I'd be elated by this set up.
For those wondering, the sub is much larger and the rears are a little smaller than the 9500s, but the rears have an additional speaker on the side (so top, front, and side) and you have way more options via smart things to customize with this setup. The sound bar is also larger and heavier thanks to more speakers.
Agree here. Skip the pass through and save a ton going with the 990C vs. the 990D. Super happy with it and this price seems to be the sweet spot.

Yeah Samsung is weird that way. Mine at $849 that I ordered a couple days ago had not shipped as yet but I'm still unable to cancel until it's shipped. So I had to order this one at $700 and will cancel the previous one when it says shipped, as instructed by Samsung customer service.
Thanks op for posting this. Kicked myself for missing out on the $770 deal and now it's even sweeter at $700. I also missed out on the Brandsmart sale at the same $700. Although their's a branch close to me I prefer ordering direct from Samsung for the financing.
There are few cons with the soundbar besides not supporting hdmi 2.1 and 120 Hz.
1) if you connect your streaming device directly to the soundbar so that you can pass all the audio directly to the soundbar you tend to get a black screen quite often for a few seconds every time in the beginning.
2) No dual stereo mode, vizio soundbars have this feature which make the rear surround pass the center channel.
3) Reducing the center channel to 0 doesn't work. While watching a game, I wanted to tune out the commentary but keep the crowd noise but wasn't able to completely mute the center channel but keep the surrounds going.
4) The upscaling feature to 11.2 can be little bad when you are playing true 7.1 surround. This is a true 7.1 system so just be aware of that.
