This isn't directly helpful, but I honestly feel like I see prop 65 warnings on 95% of stuff I buy. I just assumed something about that rule made it so everyone just adds the warning to avoid trouble. Maybe I'm living ignorantly.
Got this before when it was $20. The battery is a bit tight fitting, but overall, it is good quality for the money. At this price, I bought another just for the heck of it. They also sell 20k balls for $1.50 on walmart
I've seen that warning on food. California has a stupid law, and companies slap that warning on everything to protect themselves from it.

If this product contains lead, it's in the solder joints, just like a lot of electronics. So, don't break them open and eat solder off the wires.

I got 4 of these last time @ $20 and they are great! Went to an airsoft place that does gel blaster and the employees there were impressed as they just offer slower pistols.

Will Walmart price match or can I re buy now and return them at the $20 price?

I also bought it last week at $19.

Attempted to chat for price adjustment, and the rep wasn't able to process a price adjustment. Instead he just gave me a full refund and told me to keep the item. Weird logic, but how could I refuse? Thanks Walmart!

Edit: Checked my account, and it shows refund issued with reason listed as "Reported missing". Maybe the rep just changed the item to show as not delivered? Whatever, can't complain.

I bought these last time they were front page and have had them boxed up waiting for a kid's birthday.

Pulled them out of the box with the ammo I also bought. The water beads have a CA Prop 65 warning that the product may contain lead.

Now my wife is freaking out and does not want to give them to the kids.

Can the water beads really have lead in them or is this a CYA for selling things in California?

Looking at other water bead ammo I have not seen that warning on some of them. Is it only this brand that has that warning?

Thanks
Everything has this warning. Thanks California.

I bought several of these during one of the last purges and they're way too much fun. My kids really enjoy these even though we don't use them for the beads portion. My kids are 8 and 4 and they really like the appearance and the feedback when you pull the trigger (especially in the single or auto modes). For a toy gun, you could do much worse. I would have been beside myself as a kid to have something this cool.

Burn down buildings in 2020 and cops do nothing. But walk around with a toy gun and cops lose their shit.

Water droplets. Go into the woods after a rainy day or dewy morning, you should see water beads everywhere. They're especially beautiful in a freshly spun spider web.

Aren't they biodegradable? Honest question. I read the beads are made of the same stuff they put in diapers…that absorb moisture. But then again, I believe diapers aren't great for the environment either.

Would be a fun thing and thinking of getting one but don't really want to see the beads on the ground everywhere.

I've never seen one of these before, how does it work?

They're tiny plastic beads but you put them in water and they expand, then you put the expanded beads into the gun to shoot. When it hits the target they burst and the plastic and everything washes away/degrades when it rains?

Yes, that is correct. When the watered pellets hit the target, they burst as jelly and degrade when it rains or water over time. I have 5 different gel shooters and my pre-teenage kids love them. Highly recommend especially at this price range. I've spent $250 + so far and still buying one more Smilie

These are tons of fun. Purchased 4 at $19 each before Christmas for our family. We have enjoyed them, they pack a punch (but not too much of a punch)

These are impressive, picked up one around Christmas time for about $20. De ent rate of fire and range, and shockingly accurate. Pretty badass really, especially for this price.

Even if they did contain lead it is not going to hurt anything unless they eat them but if their the type of kid that is going to eat gel BB's they probably need close supervision. That prop 65 is just because companies don't want to pay Commifornia to get whatever certifications that say it is lead free. It doesn't mean they contain lead by any means, just that Commifornia didn't get their cut of the pie from that manufacturer!

I have three of these guns in my yard my boys and I have shot at least a thousand rounds through the three guns and have never seen a single bead on the ground. They burst when they hit anything so it would be tough to find the pieces even if you looked hard. I love these things and so do my boys. Highly recommend, especially at this price point!
