As always, when using a planer, dust chute / dust collector highly encouraged. Otherwise, get a big leaf blower and gift cards for your neighbors.
My area showed all out of stock. Went to the store and grabbed one. I'd check it if you are planning on getting one.
For 329? It's 384 at mine
Still nabbed it, not taking any risks

lol so true. I have a woodworking side gig and just collect my dust and add in some cow manure and spread it all over my yard. My lawn looks great.
I almost got it at this price.....I went over to the Newburgh, New York, store and saw the $329 and the planer underneath. I put it in a cart and went up to the counter and found out that I picked up the wrong planer, and the gal informed me that the Newburgh store did not have the DW734 in stock. However, she checked and said I could go over to the Middle Town Lowe's as they had it in stock and I could get it at that price.
So I drove over to Middletown (20 minutes), and sure enough, they had the planer, but when I took it up to the counter, it was $494. When I took it over to the service center and asked them about the price, they said that they could not honor $329, although they said if I bought it at the Middletown store, I could take it back to the Newburgh store and they would make the price adjustment. I said, are you sure? She said absolutely.
So I lug the 80-pound planer in my car and take it back to the Newburgh store. Another 20-minute drive. The Newburgh manager said they would not honor the price adjustment. Anyway, I guess I should have known better than to believe the MiddleTown service center. They offered to return it and gave me a refund and I drove home without the planer.
Update: next day I went back to the Newburgh Lowe's and instead of sending it back to vendor like the supervisor said they would have to do. It was back in stock. On the shelf. I bought it for 329.
