Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ 5G tablet at Metro for $49.99. Add it as a second line with minimum $20 data plan. I'm just ordered mine few minutes ago. it was showing OOS until last night but it became available this morning. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me. don't really need it but why not at this price. Total paid $75 with $20 data plan and $4.xx taxes.
FYI - for those not aware - you'd need to have an existing Metro account to be able to purchase this tablet (or any other device as a second/additional line. Like any other Metro phones, this tablet purchase is prepaid, and so you are not locked into any kind of contract. You only need to pay for the tablet and first month of data plan. Then you are free to cancel the service, keep the tablet just as a regular wifi device. This is my first time buying a Metro tablet but I'm still hoping it will unlock after 6 months just like any other Metro phone.
Warning ? ️ - try not to go to Metro stores. They are in general scammers and will try their best to treat you like a fool and steal your money by forced up selling and forced mandatory accessories, exorbitant taxes, and insurance with or without your consent. Try ordering online. You've been warned ??????

Called to order through customer service but order didn't go through.

You're getting that reply because your browser couldn't connect to the authentication server Metro uses.
Could be an adblocker, host file, etc. Or even your ISP could be doing it.
The simple answer is to turn off any and all adblockers, script blockers etc.
When everything is working correctly you'll see three challenge questions to authenticate your identity.
And before you say it, yes they do this even if you've already logged in with your Metro account to purchase the tablet. It seems they do the three challenge questions on every order regardless of whether you're already a customer or not.
To sum it up, you need to find what's blocking the connection to that authentication server. I found that turning off all adblocking etc, and opening an incognito tab on my phone, which had WIFI off, and connecting through my mobile network fixed this problem several times.

3 phone or 3 tablet?
mine says, when i log into my account and go to a9 page "Sorry, you are not eligible to add a new line. Please contact support to discover the reason for ineligibility. 1-888-8metro8"
and you have to add a new tablet line, or add to cart is grayed out.
since i have abused metro deals a lot in the past i assume they just flagged my account to some degree or something, or maybe because i'm brand new account. dont care since i got my one. which i got ship notice today, delivery tmrw. super fast as usual, ordered Tuesday receiving thursday.
edit: unless you are trying to cancel and get a prorated refund on the first months 20? is that possible?
Altho I am a little concerned about phrasing on my account for the tablet line

you need just research the cpu in it. this is a snapdragon 695. it is decent mid range. altho 4gb ram will make sure it is no speed demon as well.
yes samsung has put out some very underpowered tablets in the past. i once owned like a 8" widescreen samsung tablet years ago, loved that small handy form factor nobody makes anymore, but it was criminally underpowered from day one let alone after owning for some time. the sd 695 is a ubiquitous mid range chip, it must be inexpensive for manufacturers for some reason as it seems used much more than newer chips. also comes in the n30 i ordered.

i dont think you have to cancel anything, autopay is not on. and i have no stored payment method, so there is no way they can charge me. theres no contract, service just lapses when you dont pay. this is what happened when i did metro deals in the past. i also dont think you can mess up 180 days unlock. the timer starts on activation.

I was concerned because of my existing unlimited promo phone line with them, but I ended up calling and saying I wanted to cancel the tablet line and they gave me a freaking swwwwwweeeeeet deal with a shit ton of gb hotspot and everything unlimited on my phone line for way less than my already awesome promo price from months ago and then I'm keeping my tab line for barely anything and they said they'll switch my 2nd tab I ordered to the unlimited barely anything price as soon as I activate it. Like holy crap I may never leave Metro. Thank you, Slickdealers! I love the way everyone works together and answers my dumb questions. You guys have saved me so much money over the years!

You can always try customer service and see if they will give you any account credit/discount. I ended up with a super nice CS person yesterday who made my freaking day. Between the taxes on the original price and still having to do the $20 tablet plan, I would be theoretically be about $30 richer if I had gotten this deal vs the old deal, but the CS person gave me $$ credit on my account for no reason, a sick plan, and other benefits, so I am coming out on top and then some. Worth making a call and seeing what you can get.
