Do you think 5 extra dollars is worth it for extended protection? Buying some for my future little sports car (sporty car) but hard driven. 24 gr86

It is not just the cost of oil alone. If you use EP, the oil is going to hold good, but your filter may not. You have to buy filter that can go on for those many extra miles. Add that extra cost too.
I prefer cheaper oil and change it at 5k intervals.
The Kirkland deal is a lot better at $16/5qt. But $21 for 5qt of top-shelf synthetic is definitely a decent price.
So Kirkland is 4pk - 5Qt each for $64 and this is 3pk - 5Qt each for 64. Essentially you are getting an extra oil change with the Kirkland deal. Just my two cents......
Any reason this wouldn't be a buy it now price? I know the rebate season is expected to start soon, but maybe just stock up on more?

I just got some Kirkland 0W-20 @ $20/5qt since I was down to 1 jug of Mobil 1 left - my car's approaching 8 yrs so I'm getting a little less 'precious' about it, but Kirkland is is still good quality oil. That said.. if I hadn't gotten the Kirkland already, I'd go for this Mobil 1 over the $15/5qt Kirkland deal... Changing your own oil is already such a huge savings over taking it somewhere - and it just feels 'right' to put some of that savings back into the car. My two cents.
I'd say either is "buy it now" price if the stuff you need is available. Screw rebates!
Well if you overpaid for a gr86, then what is $5. Is this a humblebrag?
no I'm genuinely trying to find best oil for my car for price it says 7500 mile oil changes in manual
I found out oem oil filter cost more than the amsoil oil filter, or the same price. So prob use amsoil unless engine blows then I toss oem back on for service (keep a used one) and swap them to return it back to stock
