Does Costco still offer the extended extra four year warranty on the batteries with this? I'm having a hard time finding that information, I know they had that in the past.

I bought this mower on day 1 of the sale (4/10). I've read some comments that the 8 year warranty was possibly still live for the first couple days? Anyone know what day the extra warranty officially ended?

Not that I can see. Almost bought it just now but it says 4 year warranty only. Honestly I was going to buy it but without that extended warranty not sure Costco is the best deal.

I wish I would have bought at Best Buy during Black Friday knowing Costco and Greenworks were going to pull these warranty shenanigans. Very disappointed. Had it in my cart and put it back cause it clearly says 4 year on the box. .

I bought this last night. I used it when I got home. The batteries were not fully charged, but not empty either. I have about .2 acres of property. I had to stop to recharge once. Next time the batteries will both be fully charged and I can get a good idea of how long they will last. Grass was a little high in some areas, but for the most part, not too bad. I just mulched it and did not use the bag to collect it this time.

So far, very happy with it. So much quieter than my mower. I was actually able to take my phone out and voice dictate a message while mowing. Never had a hard time hearing me through my AirPods. I would not have been able to do that with my other mower. As a matter of fact, I would not have been able to mow with my other one, without some sort of noise canceling device in my ears.

The backing up issue was not much of an issue. It actually sporadically would let me back up while the blades were spinning. And if it did not, I would just lift the mower up and let it roll onto two wheels to go backwards to get myself out of the dead end.
If you are the type of mower that likes to push down one row of lawn and then pull it backwards down the next row then this is definitely not for you.

I have thick zoysia grass. Do you think I can go short with this mower? I am deciding between this and Ego. I posted my situation few post earlier.

What is the extended warranty?ā€”probably the most frequent question being asked hereā€¦

If you hit some tall / wet grass it might bog down and stop followed by a deep. Pulling and reseating the battery clears that and I'm back up and running on my Greenworks 21" 60v. Or as mentioned by others, charge the battery.

I can try to take a pic from underneath for youā€¦but seems standard height for cutting. I'd guess it will cut as short as any other mower..

It was an additional 4-year warranty on top of the four year factory warranty. Very recently, Greenworks did away with that extended warranty. Doing away with that extended warranty is huge.

Initially, I was looking at the Ego battery powered lawn mower because my brother has a ton of Ego equipment. However if I buy an Ego mower at say Lowe's or another store and I don't like it, they will not take it back. if I get a Greenworks mower from Costco and I don't like it, Costco will take it back.

The return to Costco if you do not like the mower option is the main selling point for me. I know of no other store that will take back a used lawn mower if you don't like it. Costco will.

I got one last week and it does the same thing. Dies with four beeps after running a few minutes. Sometimes it will run for up to 20 min. Charged the batteries fully and tried other 80v GW batteries I have. Same thing. Guess it's going back.

My 60v Greenworks mower started doing the same thing. It is several years old, so I figured the batteries(I have 2) were going bad. I thought about replacing it with this, but our comment makes me think it is my mover, and not the batteies, so now I am rethinking buying this mower. Thanks.

I saw some of the other posts suggesting it could be thick or tall grass. It would definitely stop and beep sometimes when I hit tall grass, unless it was set to turbo. The grass length wasn't usually the issue. Mostly it would stop and beep when I disengaged then reengaged the motor for a turn.
