7th Generation is good if you don't like fragrance. Regardless of what is healthier or better etc, I just don't like excess scents in things. Seventh Generation is one of the only brands that is easy to buy that has scent free all purpose spray and dish detergent and dishwasher detergent.

What I meant was, I have several friends recommend this brand within the last few months, also keep seeing it popup on my social feeds. Really don't want to dig down the rabbit hole to research if the "plant-based", "biodegradable" really worth it or it's just marketing advertised.
It's good dish soap, but we only buy it when it's on super-sale (it sometimes comes in a box of 6 or 12 which lasts a year). It's probably as good as Dawn, etc. I wouldn't say it's better at cleaning. It comes down to price. Also, the Clementine scented one smells good.

Why is this brand so popular? What makes it better than other general brands, like dawn for example.
I prefer Dawn over this soap, but this is pretty much the cheapest unscented dish soap available. I use silicone mats and other silicone baking items, Dawn soap's fragrance seem to "leech" into the silicone. The smell only comes out when the silicone mats are heated (aka baking time), i threw out way too many batches of Dawn soap flavored cookies. It took about 10 washes with unscented soap for the silicone to release the dawn smell.

Being unscented is the exact reason why I use this dish soap. However, the cleaning performance is definitely worse than Dawn and I don't even cook greasy foods. I hope Dawn will make dish soaps with the exact same ingredients as regular Dawn minus the fragrance one day. Palmolive also makes unscented dish soaps, but the ingredients are not the same as regular Palmolive, either.

I'll second that - the cleaning performance is not as good as Dawn. A few years ago, I thought 7th Gen was just as good or even better.

I don't use this brands other products, but I use their dish soap because it suds like crazy and works as well as Dawn imo. Plus goes on sale fairly often. First started using it when I gave it a try years back when amazon had a 6 pack (bigger bottles than are available now, thanks shrinkflation) on sale for $4. Won't find deals like that anymore though unfortunately.
