The nice thing about android is that you can customize the interface to your liking. Check out nova launcher, you can use it to change pretty much anything you don't like, add shortcuts, gestures, etc

You have to pay $50 for month of service and he said 60 days unlock policy. So I'm pretty sure you also have to pay for 2nd month of service to unlock the device. That's $200 minimum, and frankly the device is terrible. I understand processing speed is probably about equivalent to this 7a BUT let's be reasonable. The screen is terribly small and the bezels are horrible.
I'd recommend just buying iPhone 12 from Metro by T-Mobile (it's locked to Metro for 180 days) and keeping Metro service for 180 days (change plan to $40 plan after initial month). Again though if you don't want Metro service waiting 180 days is ridiculous and extremely long time to wait for a phone that's already essentially 4 years old. However people love their iPhones. You're probably better off buying used iPhone 12 for $200 online somewhere that's usable right away if you don't want Metro @ $40 monthly.

Have both. SE3 is much faster. Pixel 8 will probably get more firmware updates.
SE3 is more comfortable. Pixel 8 has a more beautiful screen by far, and a better camera by far.
SE3 is like a Porsche Boxster or Pontiac Solstice GXP. Pixel 8 is like a Toyota Camry.
You buy the SE3 if you want a small speed demon. You buy the Pixel 8 if you expect to need reliable communication with the same phone for seven years.
