Is your muffin buttered? Would you like us to assign someone to butter your muffin?

I'm surprised people still use metal muffin pans. If you haven't tried the silicone muffin baking containers, you don't know what you are missing.

To put things in perspective pricewise, Dollar Tree sells 6 muffin tray for 1.25$. This is 2 trays with 12 muffin capacity. 5$ right there. Plus whatever premium you'd wish to assign for a better brand / perceived quality etc.

Not a fan of my silicone muffin pans -- the whole "pan" was silicone, so no stability at all, and had an odd smell. I take it your experience has been different?

I do a lot of baking and honestly can't stand silicone products. They have a strange smell to begin with and absorb smells and tastes over time. You can immediately taste the fact that it was cooked in silicone.

A prepared metal pan will give better results every time, and baked goods will come out just as easily.

I'm not OP but I have used silicone muffin cups and tart cups that are separate from a pan. The expensive ones have been less likely to smell but all of them are an absolutely PIA to clean. Expensive ones are nice because they stand up alone without a muffin tin so you can use in air fryer or toaster oven. I have also used the entire silicone pans. Ones that have wiring for stabilization work well and that is my preference for making mini meatloaf. I bought that pan 13 years ago, though, and newer ones I have bought feel more flimsy. I had some in my WM cart earlier today thinking I would try them again but bailed and just bought muffin papers for $1 instead. Hope you find something that works for you.
