Your problem was you were trying to use it with a apple product.
I primarily play games with static elements, and as long as you enable the "Logo Brightness" setting to allow the panel to dim those elements it will lessen the effect overall. No issues with burn in so far from FF14 and Helldivers 2.
I have 2 of these, they're amazing. The screen quality is incredible. They don't have as much of a curve as the non OLED ones, but I love these things.

I have one as well. Not as bright as I would like, however this monitor is plagued with HDMI issues and it's not just me. Hundreds of people on the forums have the issues as well. Also, burn in complaints at just over 800 hours.

With burn-in it depends on what you are doing I guess. If you mainly play games then I guess you would be ok assuming you are not playing games with static contents(?) like RPGs where there are boxes of info shown on the screen at fixed locations all...

Bought and returned. It's just too dim for me. And text clarity is horrible. Both aspects are compared against a 4 year old IPS panel. TBH I don't understand the praise this panel gets.
Can also confirm that the OSD has a ton of bugs, even on latest FW.

5120 x 1440 = 88.8% of 4K. The aspect ratio and size makes it weird.
I keep hearing some issues with text on this. I want this for work and occasional gaming. Glad you recommend it.
