I doubt you will ever see a premiere baitcaster reel for $30, this is a great price for a beginner setup to feel out baitcaster or fishing in general, then buy some better gear down the road if you want to in my opinion.
This won't be the reel you hand the kids in 20 years, but it will get you fishing today for 30 bucks.
