I wouldn't trust anyone that can't spell "you're" correctly - I have an OLED and the burn in is ridiculous after a year. I don't watch news or anything that should cause it. Heck, we barely watch tv. LG customer service is horrible when it comes to burn in…. They tell you to use the pixel refresh a hundred times then give you the run around for months. When your warranty expires and you speak with corporate, they give a 10% coupon on their site that is usually 20% more than every other site…. I've owned 2 OLEDs and never buying another….
FWIW... Rtings UR8000 Series Review: 7.1/10
This might be the only 65" LG LED with a VA panel.

If money was not a concern, I'm sure you are right. But since it is for most people on slickdeals, Would others say this is a good value for the specs at $399.99?

You got a bad panel if you got burn-in after a year. I have thousands of hours on my C2 that I've had for a year, and I have zero burn-in. I leave it on all day a lot of days, and leave it on static images for extended periods of time. Burn-in is rare these days. OLED rules. You just have bad luck. Every single product in existence has some bad apples. The vast majority of OLED TVs don't get burn-in.

Thanks. I too have a C2 had started to concern me on the longevity of my TV based on some comments here.

C8 owner here, no burn in. Thousands of hours and the TV is always on with the fireworks screen saver.

I have an OLED from LG as well and the burn in is real. Really distracting when something is a solid color especially red on the bottom of the screen

I fell for this hype and bought a 83" LG OLED at a "slick" at the time price of $3300. You know what? It is fantastic. But is it $2700 better than a Vizio? Not if you like money!

Seriously, unless the screen goes completely black, it isn't THAT impressive.

Let people buy what makes THEM happy. I know that looking back, I probably should have waited instead of getting on the hype train by people who, were ultimately, probably trying to convince THEMSELVES that their money was well spent.

TV prices have dropped so much it's insane. I've had an LG C3 for a few years now and 1000+ hours of rocket league later there's still no burn in (it has very prominent areas where you'd expect it)

Thank you so much for sharing this! Was in need of several TVs. Realized after putting in cart that this TV is qualified for extra Costco direct savings. Bought 3, and saved another $200.

Dang, thanks. Would have been nice if it were an IPS.

I'm convinced LG is using a different panel now than the one rtings tested. I purchased this tv from BJs a couple months ago. It had better wide angle image quality than most the other TVs lined up alongside it. I also did the tap test on it and it didn't flash (like VA panels do).

Bought this tv for it's old price of $429 at Costco. Satisfied with it but maybe only because I was at the store within 24 hrs buying a Roku Ultra to use on it. Probably I'm just too big of an age to appreciate it but I hate the LG software. It lags. It prompts me to do different things I never want to do in that moment. The remote is an absolute nightmare to the point I try to avoid picking it up because of the weird cursor thing it does on screen. Still, picture quality is good enough & sound seems on par with other televisions.

Have three LG TVs since 2011, and they're all working, even the plasma that had the board on the plasma hit with a surge from my cable box hit with lightning and only the HDMI port went out. I have no complaints about LG.

Yes. I'm considering it for an 85", although the larger version is an IPS display. The VA doesn't have the best viewing angles.
why would you be viewing a bedroom tv at 150 degree angle? lol

I was looking for a 75" to replace my old 60" LG Plasma that just went out (doesn't power on). This is still bigger, well in my budget and could be a nice change.

Side note: I'm looking for legit suggestions on what to do with an old 60" Plasma. Should I pitch it, donate it to a repair shop, just put it on FB MP as free, or...?
