Kinda expensive for the CB band, specifically, nowadays, there are cheaper handheld alternatives that have better range, and two of them can be bought for the price of one here.

Please show? Good handheld CBs like this will be $89 or more at minimum. I assume you are referring to cheap Baofeng HAM radios which are not the same as this CB.

wrong. CB radio's are heavily used by truckers both local and long distance carriers. Lots of good road info that your gps won't show. Also the 4x4 off roaders use them a lot.

That has certainly not been my experience in Utah. The truckers are generally on CB still, very little activity except for off-roaders on GRMS.
