I have had a Sougayliang telescoping rod off Amazon and a Shakespeare telescoping rod from Scheels for about 4 years now and personally much prefer the Sougayilang. It may simply be because it's quite a bit longer. It's worked fine and i have yet to break any of the rings on it. The brand is also still around and I believe can also be bought on Temu, so that's good. I am quite an avid fisherman during the summers with my preference being hiking or riding motorcycles to remote mountain ponds, so the telescoping aspect is necessary. I also love being able to just keep both poles in my tackle bag. I wouldn't think their reels are any good though and would recommend spending some decent money on a good reel.

As a person who enjoys high end fishing gear. And Japanese domestic market (JDM) gear, I have been interested in a good all around telescopic rods. Because sometimes you find yourself unexpectedly by a body of water with time to kill. I need a pack to stay in the car.
