Existing customer total - $199+ TAx + $35 upgrade feee
New customer ccan cancel the line with in 3 days to avoid activation fees. huge YMMV though . Make sure to pay off the phone before you cancel the line and make atleast one call or text to activate the phone.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus is redefining the epic standard – both for what a smartphone can do with video and for what you can communicate create and experience with it. In other words if you’ve got something to say Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus makes it possible to say anything you want with video at any time-even in the darkness of night.
In Verizon , no risk. Get the phone , activate it , Make a call, Pay off the phone ( either with in 3 days to avoid activation or after 14 days ) and cancel the line. Phone will be autoamatically unlocked.
Risk is in ATT phone which require , sim swap.
I hope this help.
This has the inefficient 8 gen 1 processor, meaning you'll have disappointing battery life. The S23+ has among the best battery life (plus it's newer, will get updates for longer, ...). So if you're not awfully tight on money, you'll likely be more pleased for longer with the S23+.
Edit: Also, the S23+ has 256 GB of storage, while the S22+ in this deal has 128 GB.
I'm going to practice on a Walmart/Verizon Samsung Galaxy a14 to make sure this works.
Trying to get the schedule right. Does this work?
- Monday (Day 0) Buy phone on Walmart website.
- Wednesday (Day 2) Phone arrives with 2-day shipping.
- Wednesday (Day 2) Activate, make a phone call and text.
- Wednesday (Day 2) or Thursday (Day 3) Call Verizon support to cancel service.
- Wait at least 60 days. You can tweak out the phone during this time, trying to uninstall bloatware, setting up an SD card, etc...
- Punch IMEI into https://www.t-mobile.com/resource...-own-phone BYOD checker. It should say the phone is unlocked and good. (It should be unlocked automatically)
- Re-activate on any USA mobile network. I'll probably go with US Mobile (A MVNO for Verizon and T-Mobile).

I tried to pay off but both customer service and in store said there is a wait time (1 month) before i can payoff. Will try to cancel the line
Update:
1. Tried calling the verizon store (authorized) that I had visited previously if I could payoff with cash, they put me on hold and no answer.
2. Went to corporate store, told them I wanted to payoff. The CS lady said cash only. paid in full.
3. called Verizon and asked to disconnect the number. Very slow CSR, was about to charge me 126 (activation and one month). I clarified I do not want to port the number and will not pay the activation as it is still in 3 day window. She accepted that. said I will be billed for the prorated. She was willing to help on unlock but line got suspended while on call (total talk time 41 mins).
4. Current status: number disconnected, phone paid off but still locked!
walmart doesn't charge for the phone if they don't setup the verizon account properly you get it free because its billed to the verizon account if not properly setup the Phone can be activated on verizon prepaid plan and automatically unlocks in 60 days with paying for just 1 month of prepaid service.
I've activated my 3 x incorrectly processed phones on Verizon prepaid and set a timer for 60 days.
Verizon won't approve any new postpaid lines for me not sure if it's the multiple requests or if the previous approvals are somewhere in the system putting me over some limit. We'll see.

Once the phone is paid off, do we need to keep the service active unless it's unlocked (60 days)?
Or we can cancel the service and wait for that time period?

I dropped another active Verizon SIM into the phone and let it activate on the network. Phone works so it wasn't blacklisted, etc. I still haven't heard a peep from Verizon or Walmart. I have 5 days to return to Walmart but I'm thinking I'll keep it. I don't have a personal account with Verizon and Walmart just blew me off.

if walmart didn't setup verizon account you got a free phone. if wanted it unlocked activate it on verizon prepaid it will unlock in 60 days

Canceled my s23+ by porting out. Got $412 bill amount in the email today. No official bill yet. Presumably partial charge + $360 plus taxes. Net of taxes, likely charged $30 for services for 3 days of service. Will provide more information if I get the paper bill.
I got the same bill of $412 in the mail today. It doesn't say what the charges are though. Did you ever get the details of the bill and negotiate it down?

I posted it in the 23+ thread. Essentially activation was charged. I called in and got that waived.
Yea. Was fully expecting a breakdown so had to call them and go line by line for both the 1st and 2nd bill.

Oh I found it. How interesting, I thought it would be $360 + sales tax which was $394 and then the extra $17 was prorated and the extra fees. How odd that they didn't charge the full tax for you though.

Yea. It was weird. First time paying for a phone without tax charged.
