Was cheaper couple months ago too bad I missed it. https://slickdeals.net/f/17259802-cyberpowerpc-prebuilt-gaming-pc-glx-99617-ryzen-7-7800x3d-rtx-4070-super-b650-mobo-240mm-aio-32gb-ddr5-6000-1tb-gen4-ssd-850w-psu-win11h-1452-55-f-s?src=SiteSearchV2Algo

Been looking for Amd prebuilt desktops. Thinking of getting this or the Costco $1600 one, i think the Costco one is better deal (2TB ssd, easier returns, longer warranty) but I never owned Amd before.

Warranty: is 1 yr parts, 3 yrs labor, shipping both ways NOT covered (no likey)

Split payment option: No split payment button on checkout page but turns out it's available. Asked on chat, their method provided is so odd. You enter cred card info, then on next page comments/ special request box, freetext your request to split pay, click place order, then they will CALL you with further instructions... They said only credit cards, no gift cards...

I purchased this yesterday. I chose this over the Costco one because I specifically wanted the 7800X3D CPU.
good deal IMO, 4070 super + 7800x3d is $1000 alone.

Comparable build - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/DjhKDZ. Without kb/m or OS.
Wow look at this! It's a "gaming computer" that is actually a gaming computer.

I'm so confused on the better system, this one or costco's deal.
The costco deal offered most value for the price imo. But as i solicited my "computer wiz" buddies and work buddies for opinions (since i'm more like a "casual" and they know more about PC tech) basically all of them told me to try to get AMD cpu w/ (x3d) in the name.

Yes a bunch of benchmark sites still show that the "equivalent INTEL cpus" are still comparably better, it's only better than AMD for high processing stuff. The consensus from actual people i've talk to is that if you're using PC only for gaming and basic tasks AMD is overall better, uses less power and generates less heat, cheaper in price, and better running games, Intel is better at non-game stuff i guess although AMD is no slouch. Something about the cores that each company uses like AMD has less but each core runs better and Intel has way more cores but all the extra ones are not used when it's only for games, don't take my word for it. So that's why i wanted to own AMD for once even though i've been using Intel for all past desktops. Don't think you can go wrong if going w/ Intel, if your decision factors around the cpu, they're still INTEL.

What i've noticed while browsing online is barely any AMD prebuilts are on slickdeals and not that many choices online either, seems like most prebuilts and sales are INTEL, like they have some secret (not so secret?) hold on the market/retailers. This is my first prebuilt that i bought, all past desktops were built, definitely harder to find exactly what you want at a "price-i-want" when shopping prebuilts.

I've built my last few PC's. The last one I built was in 2016 and it's about done. Haven't bought a pre-built system in a long time. Thank you for your post, it helps.

Benchmarks do show much higher performance on the Intel. I also went with the Intel deal from Costco since I get a four year warranty with their credit card. Just know your electric bill may be higher using Intel, it is power hungry.

EDIT: Benchmarks I'm looking at are here.

https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html

Intel i7 14700F scores nearly 45k, AMD 7800X3D scores 35k.
That's cos this cpu is more comparable to the i7 13th gen, not the one you mentioned. And yes i didn't want a power hungry chip nor heat box...

My main os drive is only 256gb. I got it when nvme 4 first came out. But I don't feel pinched at all..nothing on it except my os. Four other drives in the system...
Larger M.2 tend to have higher speed and TBW compared to smaller drives.

With that said, I put some programs and utilities on the OS drive, and games on the NAS.

true but it's really negligible. if it was that bad laptop ssds would be failing all the time early, and I haven't observed that.

in any event, the nice thing about havign an os drive just for os is that if anything happens no big deal. just pull replace.

I bit last night. I priced out comparable parts and it's so close that I am content with this pre built system. I'm a little nervous because I've been reading reddit reviews of cyberpowerpc but there are also some positive ones too.

It is still waiting in my cart because of all those reviews 😥 Pretty good deal but I can't decide whether I should buy it or not.

I decided I want one sooner and just got it bc my family was using handmedown 2015 geforce 860m laptop and died one day while running. Found out pc is so old.Microsoft didn't even offer me Win 11 for free bc of its specs, even tho it was on 10 lol.

If not for this situation, wouldve waited for holiday sales like 7/4 and if nothing good then wait end of year sale. It's only going to get cheaper when next Gen parts prepare to come out

Review:
Mine came in yesterday, the top magnetic mesh had 2 tiny dents on it, will pretend it's not there. First time dealing with expanding packaging foam used to protect pc insides, thought I was gonna break something trying to rip that thing out. Everything else looks pretty good, didn't like that several specs didn't specify brand and model on the site. Opened tower, saw that mobo was Gigabyte, GPU was MSI, ram was T-force (who?), power supply details unknown, was buried under proprietary case, ssd was Gigabyte I think; rest of the parts seem solid quality. Case quality good enough for it's function and just enough to hide if not looking closely that budgeting was focused there. Hoping this desktop will last for years like my past ones.

I don't play new release games, so I turned up RDR2 game (got it recently) and set settings to near max and PC wasn't even sweating (should've maxed it out), still quiet after 2 hrs of play and blowing out cool breeze, not sure if bc of AIO. Was impressed since I've been running budget PCs mostly. My last pc was Asus Zephyrus w/ a 2070 and handled med-high settings but would have loud fans and run hot, good laptop tho.

Sad lessons learned: Didn't know what nvme was almost thought the desktop was missing an entire drive when I was exploring and pulled out the extra empty drive tray. Didn't know Bluetooth needed antennas, I left the wifi antenna uninstalled to prevent snagging wires under table then when I tried to link several Xbox controllers for Steam games, it was bugging out like crazy.

Even cheaper now, $1452 now in Cart!
This IMHO is a great deal, on a pre-built that is not limited on upgradeability bcoz of some kind of proprietary design.
