No. These are for adults.

Considering these use magnetic levitation as opposed to ball bearings these are going to be quiet and this is a great price for them

Would one of these be sufficient on a CPU Cooler? Specifically for a 5800x3D? its a hot chip so the current fan is constantly kicking on and off and its quite loud.

Coulda fooled me the old Corsair ML120 first gen were Awful - Noise wise at anything above 40%. Often the noise you hear is air passing though friction - Doesn't always have to do with bearings or lack of Smilie

Why isn't CFM airflow not mentioned as much as it used to be? The higher the airflow of course means more noise but I personally don't care about noise and will use other means to keep the build quieter.

It says 62.5cfm airflow.

If your processor is the specific thing overheating, you should get a water cooling system for it.

Well no one can answer that question without knowing your actual cpu cooler.

If the heatsink is good and the fan is bad, you'll see a improvement by buying this. If the heatsink is the problem however, changing the fan won't have as much of an improvement.

Its the Deepcool AK400, and i think both the fan and heatsink itself are fine, other than the fan being too loud. Its purely a quality of life thing. I thought 29 decibels would be low enough to not be that noticeable but apparently it is. The fan in this deal is like 23 db i think? Which should make a huge difference, at least on paper, I just wasnt sure if itd move enough air for the CPU.

Hm, I'm not sure it will make a huge difference for you. Your cooler as a whole looks quite good when compared to more expensive air coolers. The fan (DeepCool FK120 looks similar) is also good by itself. The solution of the problem may be other factors than the actual cooler or aggressive fan curve. If you get another fan mounting bracket thing for the cooler, you might be able to make it dual fan push/pull setup and it may lower the volume.

Hmm, good point. Maybe adding a second fan to the heatsink would help. The RPMs are definitely the problem, and they spike easily, even when just googling something. Do you think two fans running at, say, 1200 RPM would be equally effective for cooling as a single fan running at 1800 RPM?

Wouldn't know but based on other comments on this thread based on mag-lev, doing lower rpm may make this fan significantly quieter than ball bearings. May make this type of fan the best option if you wanted to go that route. You can look up some benchmarks for a push pull cpu and see if they test it with only one fan. I know deepcool makes one, the AK620.

Based on my intuition - the push/pull setup probably works best if there is significant air resistance (in this case, the cpu heatsink is what increases air resistance). The AK400 may not be dense and thick enough for a push/pull setup to be as beneficial as the AK620 that I mention.

I kind of feel like, the size of the fan should be in the listing. I figure it's 120 mm, because of the model name.. what am I the only one who thinks that 120 mm should be in a listing?

Well, now that you make me think about it, sure, yeah, it would be a good idea... but I didn't think of it until you mentioned it.

Anyway, bought 3 and they arrived in good shape but haven't used them. Looks like the deal is dead now... I wonder if I should pick up another 2 to use with a Peerless Assassin 120 CPU cooler if the deal comes back? These would work well (better than the included fans) for that CPU cooler, no?

Deal is back. For now. I bought 2 more.

I hope to use the 2 I just bought with a Peerless Assassin air cooler for quieter, better, and longer-lasting performance over the included fans. If there's an issue with this or if not a good idea then please let me know.
