I have the Tumi Alpha ballistic Nylon luggage and it has lasted me over 10 years and looks like new. Got it when united airlines store was offering 20k united miles for each of the luggage during a sale. Picked up 4 of them for 80k miles total. 2 of them was 22"x14"x9" and the other 2 was 22"x16"x9" Very durable. I would not pay almost $1k each for them tho.

It's a backpack. I would never put a backpack on dirty floor. Gross. Well, maybe a hiking backpack but I'd be gross then too. But, agree on $. I wouldn't pay big $ either. I bought one at the outlet and the other was outlet priced at the Nord. annual sale. Of course this is SD. I doubt any of us pay full retail for anything.
