This is a common sale price (check SD history for "paver" and you'll see).

Note, these are "overlay pavers", which require a concrete pad as a base according to installation instructions.

My guess is without concrete as a base, they will break. Even with concrete as a base, lots of reviews complain of them chipping and cracking, so replacing them is an ongoing problem.

Unless someone can correct me on the above details, I'd pass.
mine are on a quickndirty sand/clay base - no problems for two years.

also as caps on concrete/cinder blocks aroumd my vegetable garden - no problems.
This would be one thing that has no impact on inflation: it has the same price as five years ago.

Since I'm reading about this material may not last. Would it not be a good idea to use as a lawn edging in the PNW (Wet & Rainy) ?

I don't know what I was thinking and had purchased a wood based product for edging. That only latested a couple years.

I installed 6000 of these about 3 years ago. Excellent product imo.

I've been driving on the 4x8" concrete looking ones for two years in front of my shop, couple times a day with many different vehicles and a tractor. Zero issues. Packed gravel base with very minimal dusting of sand to level it. They still look like new. Paid 23 cents each, got about 2000 of them. My brother bought 28 pallets of different colors at the same time and has used them at dozens of houses, no issues.

I bought these 2 years ago and last year. I have a strip of them laid just on some sand next to my driveway to walk on. It sunk in a little but not a brick broke. And still looks good.

I'd been looking at different options for edging some mulched areas from my lawn. Has anyone here used this size of paver as edging rather than the 3-4" high stones? There isn't really any variation in grade, but I just want something to separate the two areas rather than just a nebulous area that is kinda grass, kinda mulch. I figure I'd dig a 1-2" deep trench as wide as the stones, fill the bottom with rocks and sand, and use the sand to keep everything nice and level. Hopefully that would keep them from sinking or being engulfed by soil over time.
